Meet the Author
Here’s what one bestselling author has to say about Ron and his writing. “In his latest novel, 28: The Missing Amendment, a high concept, hybrid blend of a political, legal, psychological and action thriller all rolled into a smooth, savory and suspenseful mix, Ron Barak manages to channel the best of John Grisham, David Baldacci and even Steve Berry in this amazingly timely tale cast with a Supreme Court backdrop. As prescient as it is thought-provoking and as much fun as it is factual, this is reading entertainment of the highest order. I’d be shocked if this book doesn’t become a bestseller.” –Jon Land, USA Today bestselling author of Strong Light of Day.
Discover The 28th Amendment
The U.S. Constitution contains 27 amendments, the result of over 11,000 proposals introduced throughout our history. Various proponents have been arguing for years that a real world 28th amendment is needed to curb a variety of abuses by many of our government representatives who for their own benefit have taken our government hostage and rendered it dysfunctional. These advocates for reform have not, however, yet figured out how to achieve such an amendment over obvious Congressional resistance.
28: The Missing Amendment is a piece of literary fiction about a Congressional challenge of a controversial enactment of such a Constitutional amendment before the U.S. Supreme Court. Can a lawyer turned novelist blur the lines of fiction and reality, and make a “novel” difference? Read the novel and Ron’s 28th Amendment and you be the judge.

In one of my recent blogs, you’ll recall (you will recall won’t you?) I said if you want to write, you have to read. A lot. And I do. So I want to give you a great “case” in point, a terrific example. (I probably would have said “a great read in point,” but, hey, […]
I don’t want to date myself, but when I started driving, if you got a traffic ticket for running a stop sign or going over the speed limit a bit, the fine was modest, $25 to $50. Only $10-$15 for a parking violation. Also, if you were willing to spend a little time “fighting” the […]
